If I was going to build a scale plane, this would be my choice. Looks like a P-51A, but isn't.

A-36 Apache! I'd say for all practical purposes, it's a P-51A. Ha. So, will your "if" turn into a "go"?

I have Jerry Bates plans for this Apache. (50cc) That will give you a start. Oh, and gear, too. And a scale spinner/prop.

Sounds like a great project for Lane, he needs something to keep him busy.

I've got an unfinished Zero to continue after the Porter. Plenty to do! ha.
